OnePlus Watch Launched: Price, Details, Specifications and Impressions
OnePlus watch is the brand’s second wearable in the market. It has been anticipated for a lot of time now and was finally launched on 23rd March 2021 alongside the OnePlus 9 series.
OnePlus band was largely successful in the Indian market. Though they had other capable competitors, the OnePlus band was overall a good package. The brand is looking to the same with their smartwatch.

Price:
The OnePlus watch is priced at Rs.14,999 but as part of a launch offer. The price bracket has other big names too, like the Oppo Watch and the Samsung Gear Series. So, the competition is pretty tough.
Design and Display:
The OnePlus watch has a 46mm round dial with a 2.5D curved glass AMOLED display. AMOLED equals to a rich display with deep blacks and punchy colours.
It has a stainless steel body with a unibody design. There’s a glossy CD pattern on the display. The strap materials are also different for different editions. You get the fluoroelastomer strap on the standard edition, whereas a leather strap is provided with the Cobal Limited Edition. The standard variant also comes with a stainless steel case in two colours- Midnight Steel and Midnight Black, while the Cobalt Edition only comes with a cobalt alloy case in gold.
Fitness and Sports Features:
There are a total of 110 workout modes in the OnePlus watch. You have your usual modes like walking, jogging, running, marathon, outdoor cycling, indoor cycling and freestyle training. There are many other- swimming, elliptical, cross trainer, rowing machine, badminton, mountaineering, outdoor orienteering, yoga, cricket and others.
The watch comes with an in-built GPS with four satellite positioning. So, you can leave your phone at home while you take a jog. The watch will accurately track your jogging route and steps taken.
There are also a host of fitness features on board. It has all the necessary sensors like the SpO2 sensor, heart rate sensor, stress tracking and sleep monitoring.
With the SpO2 sensor, you can know the amount of oxygen your body is absorbing. The heart-rate sensor provides you with a measurement every now and then. The sleep tracking gives you a detailed graph of your sleep quality throughout the night. You also get a stress tracking function and breath training along with it. All this data can be accessed via the OnePlus Health app on your phone.
Connectivity:
The OnePlus Watch has an in-built mic that allows you to make hands-free calls.
Then there are other connectivity features like app notifications, phone settings, and camera shutter. With 4GB of internal storage, you can even listen to music without your phone. You can also control music from the watch and listen to it using any Bluetooth device.
OnePlus phone users have direct access to the Zen Mode and Gallery.
One standout feature of the OnePlus Watch is that it doubles as a remote control for the OnePlus TV. Users can control the volume and browser through content using the watch. The smartwatch can also detect that the user has fallen asleep and turns off the TV after 30 minutes. Also, the volume of the TV is automatically reduced when there is an incoming call.
Battery:
The OnePlus watch has support for the much-acclaimed Warp charge. You can charge the watch for 20 minutes to obtain seven days’ worth of charge, while five minutes of charging gives a day’s charge. The watch can go up to 14 days on a full charge, which is not bad at all, considering the AMOLED display and other functions.

The OnePlus watch makes up for a worthy competitor in the already competitive smartwatch market. It has the quality to be successful, along with a reputed brand’s name. The specifications are top-notch, and the new connectivity features are definitely very appealing. As always, there are special perks for OnePlus phone users. With this smartwatch, OnePlus is trying to establish an ecosystem similar to Apple’s. What will be the next product? Only time will tell.
